Tyler Gregory Okonma was born on 6 March 1991, in Ladera Heights, California, USA, to a Nigerian father who he has never met, and a mother of mixed Canadian and African-American descent. To the public he is known as Tyler, the Creator, and is a record producer, rap artist, television personality, actor, as well as a screenwriter, who gained fame when he started leading a hip hop group called “Odd Future”.

Tyler is something of a businessman too – in 2011 he launched Golf Wang, a clothing company, and runs Golf Media too, his own streaming service which has published original scripted series from Tyler himself.
