Frazier grew up in Toms River, New Jersey, along with his two brothers, also professional baseball players Jeff and Charlie Frazier. He attended Toms River High School South, and later enrolled at New Jersey’s Rutgers University. He became involved in baseball during his teenage years, being a member of the 1996 Junior Pee-Wee National Champions. He then starred for the Toms River East American Little League All-Star team, which won the Little League World Series in Pennsylvania in 1998, showcasing his brilliant performance in the game against the Far East and International champion Kashima Little League from Japan, capturing 4-4 with a leadoff home run and the game-winning strikeout that enabled his team to win the championship.
