For her personal life, Tia has married twice – Carrere’s first marriage was to Elie Samaha in 1992, but they divorced in 2000 following rumors of infidelity. In 2002, she married photojournalist Simon Wakelin, and they have a daughter. Eight years later, Tia filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. The two have a shared custody with their daughter, and Tia currently resides in Los Angeles.
