Teri Hatcher Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Teri Lynn Hatcher was born on 8 December 1964, in Palo Alto California, USA, of English, Irish, and Welsh descent (father) and Syrian, Czech and Irish ancestry (mother). Teri is an actress, presenter and writer, best known for her long-running television roles portraying Lois Lane in the ABC comedy-drama series “Lois and Clark: the New Adventures of Superman”(1993–97), and Susan Mayer in the ABC  comedy-drama series “Desperate Housewives”(2004–12).

So just how rich is Teri Hatcher? Sources have estimated that Teri’s net worth is $50 million, mostly accumulated from her appearances in many shows and films.

Teri Hatcher Net Worth $50 Million

Teri Hatcher’s father Owen was a nuclear physicist, and her mother Esther a computer programmer. Teri’s childhood was not always pleasant, as she was sexually abused by her uncle when just five years old; she later helped prosecutors to put her abuser in jail. Teri studied at the American Conservatory Theater, and her first experience as an actress was in 1985, in “The Love Boat”, in which Teri had an opportunity to work with Gavin MacLeod, Fred Grandy, Bernie Kopell and others. After her debut, Hatcher acted in TV shows “MacGyver”, “Karen’s Song”, “Sunday Dinner” and others. All these appearances had a significant impact on the growth of Teri Hatcher’s net worth.

However, undoubtedly Teri Hatcher’s appearance in “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman” was her real breakthrough, a role which not only made Teri popular with viewers, but also acclaimed and respected in the industry, as well as gaining her considerable income.

Teri Hatcher then appeared in such movies as “2 Days in The Valley”, “Spy Kids”, “Heaven’s Prisoners’, “The Cool Surface” and many others, which also added to Teri’s net worth.

Teri’s next really significant role was that of Susan Mayer in “Desperate Housewives”, in which she had an opportunity to work with Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Steven Culp, Eva Longoria and others. Teri was praised by many for her acting in this series, and gained many nominations and won many awards because of this role, during its eight year run on national TV, and in other countries too. Teri’s latest appearances include “Coraline”, “Smallville”, “Planes, Jane by Design” and “Planes: Fire & Rescue”.

During her career as an actress Teri Hatcher has won several awards, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy, Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series and others.

What is more, Hatcher has written a book, called “Burnt Toast: And Other Philosophies of Life”, which also gained her popularity and increased Teri’s net worth.

In her personal life, Teri Hatcher married Marcus Leithold in 1988, but they divorced the following year. In 1994 she married actor Jon Tenney, and they had a daughter in 1997, however they  divorced in 2003.

Finally, Teri Hatcher was even included at 38 in Men’s Health’s list of Hottest Women of All Time.  As Teri is 51 years old, there are still  opportunities for her to appear in many more movies and television shows, continue demonstrating her beauty and talent to her fans. Eventually her net worth will also become higher.

#Quote
1 I love clothes that when you put them on, you feel like you. I don't care whether anyone else likes them. (Woman's World magazine 1-31-06)
2 [on her marriage breakup and lack of career prospects] I was in some deeply, deeply sad places. I wanted something to be solid for Emerson. When I was crying there, I was feeling I wouldn't be able to pay my mortgage for much longer -- there was a lot of money that I'd had that I didn't have anymore. That was a low point.
3 [on turning 40] I feel more comfortable with myself now. I don't know if I feel sexier. I feel more whole.
4 [on her marriage to Jon Tenney] I was consumed with being a mom. I didn't think beyond that.
5 Let me just say that every cover of every magazine I've done has been airbrushed to death. No woman should walk around thinking that's what they should be. You shouldn't be beating yourself up.
6 [on her audition for Desperate Housewives (2004)] I had to test, the whole rigmarole, but it was one of the greatest auditions I ever had. I left the building knowing I had this.
7 What's good about talking about being victimized is that it is the beginning of being able to stop it.
8 Despite the fact that I have a good-size pair of breasts ... in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993), I have the opportunity to show the world they're not my only attribute.
9 My advice, be healthy, reach your own goals, and don't be afraid to impersonate an SNL star. (AOL 7/96)
