Sonja Morgan Net Worth

Date:

American TV star, film producer, model, author  and socialite Sonja Morgan was born Sonja Tremont on 25 November 1963, in Albany, New York State, and became known widely to the public as one of the cast members of Bravo cable TV network’s reality television series ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ from series three in 2010.

So just how rich is Sonja Morgan, as of mid-2017? Authoritative sources estimate that the amount of Sonja Morgan’s net worth is over $15 million, collectively accumulated from her various interests.

Sonja Morgan Net Worth $15 Million

Sonja graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, and Sonja Morgan’s net worth was established while she worked as a model at Paris and Milan fashion shows. Then she worked as a manager-consultant for certain restaurants in The Big Apple, using her relationship with the upper class to bring in high-profile clientele. However, Morgan’s net worth significantly increased when she joined ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’, the television series broadcast by the Bravo cable TV – Morgan reputedly earns $220,000 per season, which composes most of her current income. In July 2012, Bravo released a social networking video game version of “The Real Housewives of New York City” entitled ‘Real Housewives: The Game’, which has also made a positive impact on Sonja Morgan’s net worth.

Morgan also added to her net worth after her book was released; entitled ‘Buns in My Oven: The Toaster Oven Cookbook’ published by Home Eatins Press, the book is based on simple recipes for use in a toaster oven.

Sonja has also written a screenplay which includes details of her life, marriage and divorce, and there is a possibility that she will publish it as a book, thus, Sonja would also increase her net worth.

In her less-than-private personal life, Sonja was married to American businessman John Adams Morgan – the great-grandson of financier John Pierpont Morgan and President John Adams – from 1998 until 2006; Morgan is 33 years older than his ex-wife – Sonja has custody of their daughter. Sonja Morgan filed for bankruptcy when she was sued for a failed movie venture in 2010, but her financial troubles were also growing because of the complicated divorce, apparently still not finally settled.

Sonja Morgan spends much of her free time with charity work, even receiving a NY State Senate award for her business capability in combining media and charity work. Sonja gave the interview about her charity work to The Economist Magazine at the NY Stock Exchange for Bloomberg TV, questioned by Martha Stewart and Virgin Airlines Deepak Chopra. She still lives in New York City.

  1. She’s an embarrassment to the female gender….and the Morgan legacy. I hope her daughter isn’t being bullied and/or humiliated because of her mother’s disgusting behavior.

    • Dear Vonya,

      Did you walk in Sonja’s shoes? Were you there in her home feeling her hurting heartbeat?

      Have you ever thought about what you’d do if your spouse, your lover, your ‘forever ‘ soulmate and let’s not forget, THE father of your child(ren) who had committed this deliberate and hurtful betrayal, not only to you, but towards you and your family?

      Unless you have been through a similar, if not the exact situation, then there are no words nor enough “I’m so sorry” to ever mend that shattered mirror.

      People who Shame & Blame others:

      Perhaps it is a matter of self-preservation or protection. It is too painful to recognize your own hypocrisy, so you channel your energy into damning it in someone else—especially in those strangers with familiar faces. You don’t actually know them, but you feel like you do, so therefore some people feel that they have “permission” to judge them saying hurtful and defamatory comments, as you just did, V.

      Secondly, Mr. Morgan isn’t being amenable to HIS court ordered responsibilities with his child support payments?
      That’s the ‘least ‘ he could do, in my observation.
      ~~~~~~~~~~~BTW~~~~~~~~
      MOST would have already been accosted and in jail. Aren’t they called ‘Dead-Beat’ Dads or Moms?’
      Whilst you say that Sonjá is a disgrace to the female gender, however, you undoubtedly must not think that Mr. Morgan isn’t a disgrace to the male gender? This isn’t a gender issue. Every bit of their story could be the other way around!!
      Is this why Mr. Morgan is hiding somewhere off on an Island? Is it that his millions are worth more than his relationship and reputation with his daughter and to the public?
      Perhaps he’s all bundled up warm and cozy, yet all alone and remorseful about his actions? I certainly would hope that he will come forth and be a man in doing what is right. Absolutely, nobody is perfect!
      -Like many, it’s a sad ending to what could of been a beautiful love story.
      -Indeed, we live in a hypocritical society.
      -NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED.
      I always say and will say:
      -NO GOOD-OR-BAD DEED GOES UNNOTICED either.
      • Though my (now) EX husband was not as wealthy as Mr. Morgan, I was devastated to find out HE never stopped dating after our wedding, too, so, KLP, yes, in fact I have been in those shoes. I certainly do not count myself as a supporter of Mr. Morgan’s, or any person, man or woman, who chooses to betray their spouse in the despicable ways he has–but that doesn’t make it acceptable for Ms. Morgan to choose to behave as she has, either–especially as a parent. I wasn’t fortunate enough to have my child, as I discovered my ex had been cheating while I was going through an ectopic pregnancy that later ruptured. I don’t say that to invoke some sort of sympathy from you or anyone–just to let you know that IF I’d been blessed with a child, I would make it a point to conduct myself in a manner that wouldn’t be embarrassing to him or her–especially if I was cast in a television show. (Even as an adult, I’d be incredibly embarrassed if my mother was shocked to “discover” she’d forgotten to wear underwear as she was bending over in a very skimpy costume…..on OR off camera.)
        KLP, I can only base my feelings on the behavior Ms. Morgan is comfortable CHOOSING to display in FRONT of cameras…..Personally, I find it inappropriate, irresponsible, and selfish…….obviously, I do not count myself as one of her “fans” and, though I appreciate your response and respect your opinion, my own has not changed and isn’t likely to.
