Seth MacFarlane Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Seth Woodbury MacFarlane, simply known as Seth MacFarlane, is a famous American television and film director, voice actor, animator, screenwriter, as well as a comedian. Seth MacFarlane is perhaps best known for creating the adult animated sitcom called “Family Guy”, and two of its spin-off series, namely “American Dad!” and “The Cleveland Show”. “Family Guy” premiered on television screens in 1999, and was on air until 2003. After a two year hiatus, the show returned to screens in 2005, and has been on air since then. Over the years, “Family Guy” has become one of the most popular animated television series with a cult following. So far, the show has gathered 12 nominations for Primetime Emmy Awards, and 11 nominations for Annie Award. When the first season of the show aired on screens, the average viewership numbered 12.8 million, while the show’s recent, eleventh season managed to maintain an average of 6.9 million viewers. In addition to inspiring the release of two spin-off series, “Family Guy” was the main influence for the release of “Stevie Griffin: The Untold Story” film, “Family Guy Video Game!”, a pinball machine, as well as a series of books. Aside from “Family Guy”, Seth MacFarlane worked on such series as “Dexter’s Laboratory”, “Johnny Bravo” and “Larry & Steve” to name a few.

Seth MacFarlane Net Worth $150 Million

A famous producer and animator, how rich is Seth MacFarlane? According to sources, in 2012, his annual income amounted to $36 million, while in 2013 it rose to $55 million. In addition, the value of the “Family Guy” franchise is thought to amount to $1 billion. In regards to his total wealth, Seth MacFarlane’s net worth is estimated to be $150 million, most of which he has accumulated due to his involvement in the film and television industry.

Seth MacFarlane was born in 1973 in Connecticut, United States, where he studied at the Kent School. MacFarlane later enrolled in the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied film and animation. He started his professional career at “Hanna-Barbera Cartoons” company, where he worked on “I Am Weasel”, “Cow and Chicken” and “Johnny Bravo” cartoons. At the same time, MacFarlane worked at the “Walt Disney Television Animation” company, and “Frederator Studio”. MacFarlane’s big breakthrough came with “Family Guy”, which he started developing in 1998. As his popularity grew, Seth MacFarlane was asked to work on numerous projects, including a sitcom entitled “Dads” starring Seth Green and Brenda Song, a science documentary series “Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey” presented by Neil deGrasse Tyson, and an upcoming animated series “Bordertown”.

In 2012, MacFarlane made his debut as a director with a comedy film called “Ted”, where the main characters were played by Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis. Considered to be the highest-grossing film of 2012, “Ted” received a nomination for an Academy Award, and inspired the release of a sequel called “Ted 2”, which is scheduled to be released in 2015.

A well-known producer, as well as an animator, Seth MacFarlane has an estimated net worth of $150 million.

#Quote
1 The success of The Simpsons (1989) really opened doors. It showed that if you were working in animation you didn't necessarily have to be working in kids' television.
2 With any half-hour comedy, it kind of takes on its own life and finds itself.
3 When you are in a room and your job is to write jokes 10 hours a day, your mind starts going to strange places.
4 The good thing about Broadway is that you don't have to worry about an airdate. It gets done when it gets done.
5 The only problem is time.
6 [on Amour (2012)] The last time Austria and Germany got together and co-produced something it was Hitler.
7 The only way it [criticism] gets to me is that it demonstrates a deterioration of the power of restrained, critical, rational thought that was once more ubiquitous in our society. In the sixties and seventies there was such a high regard in this country for the achievements of human beings in science, in technology, in space exploration. And in some ways we've turned into this wimpy, astrology-loving, angel-loving, pseudo-scientific culture that no longer has that ability. We've gotten lazy in our willingness to use our brains.
