Ruben Studdard net worth is
$3 Million

Christopher Ruben Studdard, better known as Ruben Studdard, is an American R&B, gospel, pop singer and occasional actor who has an estimated net worth of $3 million. He became popular after winning in the second season of the famous competition show called “American Idol”. Since the beginning of his career Studdard has released six studio albums, one compilation and 12 singles. In December 2003 he even received a Grammy Award for the “Best Male R&B Vocal Performance”. Although Ruben calls himself a gospel singer, critics usually consider him as a person who likes to mix several genres at once.

Ruben Studdard Net Worth $3 Million

Christopher Ruben Studdard was born on September 12, 1978, in Frankfurt, Germany, but he grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. He started singing at the age of three at the Rising Star Baptist Church in Birmingham. As a teenager he was inspired by the music of American jazz musician Donny Edward Hathaway and a gospel singer Fred Hammond. So Ruben Studdard decided to begin his career as a musician. Since then Studdard’s main aim was to become popular and increase his net worth. The first real success came to Studdard when he participated in American Idol, where he was able to impress audiencess with the song called “Superstar”. He won the contest in 2003, and this was the first investment in Ruben Studdard’s net worth.

Ruben Studdard is also known as an occasional actor. Despite his main earnings from studio albums, he has also earned money from acting. Studdard appeared in “8 Simple Rules” created by Tracy Gamble, “Life on a Stick” and “All of Us” created by the famous actress and businesswoman Jada Pinkett Smith. Though his acting career didn’t build Studdard’s net worth as much as his musical career, but thanks to these several appearances on TV the singer increased his popularity among the viewers.

In his personal life, Chris met his wife Surata Zuri McCants in October 2006 at Wal-Mart in Atlanta while signing his CDs. After that the couple dated for two years and finally married on June 28, 2008 in a short private ceremony in Alabama. But they weren’t happy together for long, and the couple announced their divorce on November 16, 2011,  which was finalized in April 2012, however Ruben was not ordered to pay any spousal support for his former wife, and so he was able to keep all his pensions, jewellery, clothing and royalties, so Ruben Studdard’s net worth didn’t suffer much.

During his musical career Ruben has been nominated for seven different awards and has won several of them. His first award was a “Teen Choice Awards” as “Male Reality/Variety Star for American Idol” in 2003, at the beginning of his way into show business. The last award the singer received was in 2005, but despite this fact Ruben Studdard’s net worth rises until today.
