She became famous while working as a dancer and a cheerleader for basketball teams the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic, the team for which Dwight Howard was playing. Her popularity grew as her relationship with the basketball player became more serious. In 2010, she became a main cast member in “Basketball Wives”, a reality TV series aired by VH1. The show has brought several wives, girlfriends and ex-wives of NBA stars into the spotlight, who have agreed to share their private lives in a reality show, which soon became one of the highest rated in the industry, and which made Royce Reed’s salary grow considerably – in the fourth season of “Basketball Wives”, the TV star made $250,000, followed by another $30,000 for her appearance in the reunion show. However, she wasn’t cast for the fifth season, as she couldn’t maintain good working relationships with the other cast members. As part of her career in television, Reed also recorded an appearance in an episode of the television documentary “Inside Edition”, aired in 2012.

After ending the contract with VH1, the TV star launched her first book “College Girls”. She announced other two books in the series, all inanspired from her teenage story. Besides writing, she also started her own dance company, which adds earnings to her net worth.
In addition to all these activities, Reed has founded a non-profit organization, called “Artistic Dreams”, which has the purpose of helping young girls with no financial support. Throughout her programs, Reed helps girls between 5 and 17 to attend dance classes free of charge.
As she has a degree in Theater, Reed decided to build herself a name in this industry. She started her career in 2012, with a performance in the off-Broadway show “Platanos & Collard Greens”.
After her relationship with Dwight Howard, Royce Reed has had several short relationships, but apparently none of them have been serious.
