With more than 158 thousand copies sold during its first week, the album enjoyed a wide success among its audience, as well as critics who have expressed positive views towards Ross’ music.

The album spawned four singles and featured Birdman, Kanye West, Lil Wayne and T-Pain as guest performers. “Deeper than Rap” was followed by “Teflon Don”, Ross’ fourth studio album, which followed the commercial success of its predecessor. The album sold more than 176 thousand copies during its debut week and with a peak at #2 on the Billboard 200, received generally positive reviews from the critics. Ross’ rapping career and album releases have been followed by positive attitude from the listeners, however, his legal issues, namely those related to the possession of marijuana and guns, have been constantly interfering with Ross’ success. A famous rap artist, how rich is Rick Ross? In 2011, Ross’ annual salary amounted to $6 million, while in 2012 he contributed additional $600 thousand to it from the sales of his album “God Forgives, I Don’t”. Currently, Rick Ross’ net worth is estimated to be $35 million, the majority of which comes from his career as a rap artist.

Rick Ross was born in 1976, in Mississippi, but was raised in Florida, where he attended Miami Carol City Senior High School. Prior to becoming a professional rap artist, Ross studied at a university on a football scholarship and after that worked as a correctional officer. In the music industry Rick Ross debuted in 2006 with the release of his very first album “Port of Miami”. The album enjoyed critical praise, as well as a #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart and a Gold certification for selling more than 857 thousand copies to date. Ross’ successful debut made significant contributions to his public acceptance and gave him an opportunity to work with some of the most prominent artists in the music industry, such as P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo and others. Two years later, Ross came out with his second album called “Trilla”, which also topped the Billboard charts and received a gold certification. Ross’ most recent work called “Mastermind” was released in 2014 and peaked at #1 on the charts, which is not at all surprising, given for Ross’ record. In addition to performing on stage, Rick Ross has been featured on many television shows, including “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”, “Chelsea Lately” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.
