In 2005, she starred in the Johnny Cash biographical drama film “Walk the Line” directed by James Mangold, and won an Oscar for her highly acclaimed role of June Carter Cash. However, success was followed by failure, as her role in the thriller film “Rendition” (2007) was highly criticised.Subsequently, “How Do You Know” (2010) has been nominated as the most expensive box office flops of all time.

Undaunted, Reese didn’t even take a break during her pregnancy, appearing in the films “This Means War” (2012) and “Mud” (2013). Currently, she is working on the upcoming film “Hot Pursuit”..

Reese Witherspoon has been married twice. She has two children with her first husband actor and director Ryan Phillippe with whom she was married from 1999 to 2007. In 2011, she married her second husband Jim Toth. They have a child, too.
