While still in high school, Moss managed to excel as a talented football player, as he helped his high school team win various awards and matches. However, Moss had always been a troublesome teenager and used to partake in fights. When he was charged with misdemeanor and battery, he received a sentence of 30 days in prison. Even though Moss expressed a desire to play football in the University of Notre Dame, he enrolled at Florida State University, where he took part in various sports events. However, Moss violated his 30-day sentence, as his tests for marijuana turned out to be positive. As a result, he was expelled from Florida State, and enrolled in Marshall University instead; while there he played games in the NCAA football division and managed to set various league records, which included most touchdown receptions caught by a freshman in a season, and playing most games with a touchdown reception in a season.

Randy Moss began his professional football career in 1998, when he joined the NFL Draft. That same year, Moss joined the Minnesota “Vikings” in their first match of the season against the Tampa Bay “Buccaneers”. After his 6-year run with the “Vikings”, Moss joined the “Raiders” for one season, and then played for four seasons in the New England “Patriots” team. Moss returned to the “Vikings” in 2011, yet he was waived from the team less than four weeks after his trade.
