Peyton Manning Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

The football star Peyton Manning was born on 24 March, 1976 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Peyton decided to follow in his father’s Archie Manning‘s foot steps and pursue a career in football: Archie Manning is a former quarterback of NFL, too, a successful player with the New Orleans Saints for almost 10 years. Peyton`s younger brother, Eli Manning, is also following both of them – he is a quarterback for the New York Giants.

So just how rich is Peyton Manning? Sources estimate that Peyton’s net worth is $220 million, built-up almost exclusively from his play as a quarterback in the American Football League, where he is purported to receive an annual salary of $18 million, plus of course the many endorsements that players of his calibre receive from eager companies. Hence, it is not surprising Peyton has an opportunity to live such a luxurious lifestyle.

Sadly Peyton Manning’s oldest brother Cooper Manning also had the potential to become a professional football player, however, at 18 years old he was diagnosed with spinal stenosis. The younger Eli Manning is not yet as successful as Peyton, however, experts confidently predict that he will be just as successful.

Peyton Manning started his career in football at the University of Tennessee, where he contributed to winning many matches with his team. Specifically, Peyton played 45 games from which the team won 39 in total, including winning the national college Citrus Bowl championship. Such a success rate had to become the main source of great revenues contributing to Peyton Manning’s subsequent net worth.

After that, Manning was selected to join the Indianapolis Colts, and the latter was the main source of Peyton Manning’s great net worth, for 14 years up to 2011, in which year Peyton got a trauma and joined the Denver Broncos. This contract was worth $96 million. Peyton`s first performance with the Denver team was against the well known Pittsburgh Steelers. In this game, Manning was called the fastest football player, and what is also interesting is that, for the way he plays, Peyton is labelled The Sheriff. In all, Peyton has been named the league’s Most Valuable Player five times by the NFL, as well as leading his Colts’ team to the Super Bowl Championship in 2006.

Peyton Manning has managed to save up such a great net worth not only because of his successful football career, but also because of deals with famous sports companies and others. Manning signed agreements with Wheaties, Sony, Reebok, Gatorade, ESPN, and Master Card. For possessing an amazing net worth, Peyton has been labelled as one of the athletes receiving the highest of salaries.

Peyton Manning has also become an advertising TV star , which has boosted his net worth too. The star performed in commercials promoting DirecTV, Papa Johns, and Buick. Manning is also the owner of Papa John`s pizza franchises, owning 21 franchises in total. In 2007, Peyton Manning performed on Saturday Night Live, a famous TV show.

In his personal life, Peyton Manning has been married to Ashley Thompson since 2001, and the couple has twins, a daughter and a son. The couple started the Peyback Foundation to assist disadvantaged kids, and in 2007 St Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis renamed the children’s wing ‘The Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St Vincent’ in recognition of the extensive support from Peyton and his wife.
