Peter Fonda Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Peter Henry Fonda was born on the 23rd February 1940, in New York City, USA, and is an actor, probably best known for appearing in films including “Easy Rider” (1969), “Ulee’s Gold” (1997), “The Passion Of Ayn Rand” (1999), “Ghost Rider” (2007), etc. Fonda is also recognized for being an icon of the counter-culture of the 1960s. His professional career has been active since 1962.

Have you ever wondered how rich Peter Fonda is, as of early 2016? According to sources, it has been estimated that Peter’s net worth is over $40 million, with the main source of this amount of money being, of course, his successful involvement in the film industry as a professional actor, and director as well.

Peter Fonda Net Worth $40 Million

Peter Fonda was raised with his older sister, actress Jane Fonda, by Hollywood actor Henry Fonda – his mother Frances Ford Seymour. committed suicide when he was 10 years old. Peter moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where he studied acting at the University of Nebraska, and there he became a member of the Omaha Community Playhouse.

Fonda started his career as a stage actor appearing on Broadway in productions such as “Sweat”, “Stanley Poole”, and Blood. After initial successes, he tried himself on screen, securing small roles in TV series such as “Naked City” (1962), “Wagon Train” (1962), and “The Defenders” (1963). In 1963, Fonda was cast in the film “Tammy And The Doctor”, with Sandra Dee and Macdonald Carey, also starting a friendship with the director Robert Rossen, who then chose Peter for the role of Stephen Evshevsky in his film “Lilith” (1964). During the late 1960s, Peter was featured in films such as “The Wild Angels” (1966), “The Trip” (1967), and “Easy Rider” (1969), which is one of his most memorable roles. He entered the 1970s as a talented actor, raising the number of appearances, which only increased his net worth. Some of his role credits include “The Hired Hand” (1971), which was his directing debut, “Dirty Mary Crazy Larry” (1974), “Outlaw Blues” (1977), with Susan Saint James and John Crawford in lead roles.

In the 1980s, Fonda, couldn`t land significant roles, however, his net worth still increased through appearances in such productions as “Certain Fury” (1985), “The Cannonball Run” (1981), “Mercenary Fighters” (1988), and “The Rose Garden” (1989).

The 1990s continued his plunge to the B movies, however, in 1997 he was cast as Ulee Jackson in the film “Ulee`s Gold” (1997), and as Terry Valentine in the film “The Limey” (1999). Continuing with successful roles in 2000s, Peter was featured in films such as “The Laramie Project” (2002), “Ghost Rider” (2007) with Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes in lead roles, “3:10 To Yuma” (2007) alongside stars Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. Furthermore, he was featured in the films “The Ultimate Life” (2013), “The Harvest” (2013), and several others, all of which increased his net worth by a large margin. Most recently, Peter has been a part of the films “House of Bodies” (2014), “Skate God” (2016), “The Most Hated Woman In America” (2016), and “The 11th”, which will be released in 2017.

During his successful career, Fonda has received numerous prestigious nominations and awards, including Golden Globe award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture for his work on “Ulee`s Gold”, and two Oscar nominations, one for Best Actor in a Leading Role for “Ulee`s Gold”, and for Best Writing, Story and Screenplay Based on Material Not Previously Published or Produced for his work on “Easy Rider”.

Regarding his personal life, Peter Fonda has been married to Margaret (Parky) DeVogelaere since 2011. Previously, he was married to Portia Rebecca Crockett(1975-2011) and Susan Jane Brewer(1961-74), with whom he has two children – Bridget Fonda and Justin Fonda, both of whom are actors.

#Quote
1 [on rumors of Jack Nicholson's retirement] Jack is retiring? Yeah? Far out! I never hear the news in Hawaii. All I can say is he's a good actor and thanks for telling me the news. Personally, I don't want to retire. I feel like I'm about 8 years old on most days.
2 [on the death of Easy Rider (1969) co-star Dennis Hopper] Dennis changed the way movies were made in Hollywood. I was blessed by his passion and friendship.
3 Civilization has always been a bust.
4 [about sister Jane Fonda retiring from acting] I think it's great. Now she can just be Jane.
5 [on why he prefers to be addressed as "Peter"] Whenever I hear "Mr. Fonda", I look over at the door, figuring he's come back.
6 I dig my father. I wish he could open his eyes and dig me.
