Pat Boone Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Charles Eugene Boone was born on 1 June 1934, in Jacksonville, Florida USA, and claims the American pioneer Daniel Boone among his ancestors. Pat Boone is best known as a clean-cut pop star during the early days of rock ‘n’ roll in the 50s and 50s, during which period he had a string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic.

So just how rich is Pat Boone? Sources estimate that Pat has managed to accumulate a net worth of $30 million, most of his wealth having been earned from his singing career, but also from many other activities, such as writing songs, directing films, and sometimes acting as a spokesman, plus from his bestseller “Twixt Twelve and Twenty”.

Pat Boone Net Worth $30 Million

During the period of his successful pop singing, Pat was one of the biggest charting artists along with such celebrities as Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney. The fact that Boone had 38 Top 40 hits proves him being a notable singer. Many of Boone’s hit singles were covers of hits from black R&B artists, who had difficulties promoting themselves in the USA. Regardless, in total Pat Boone sold 45 million albums, and this definitely added a solid sum to his net worth.

In 1950s and 60s, Pat Boone’s net worth was increased because of his career on television, too. Pat appeared on “The Pat Boone Chevy Showroom” broadcasted on ABC channel. In total, it released 115 episodes in three years. The show was popular because famous celebrities appeared on this show: Andy Williams, Johnny Mathis, and Elvis Presley among others.

Further, as an actor Pat Boone has appeared in 12 Hollywood movies, which have also benefited Pat’s net worth. Pat performed in such movies as “April Love” (1957), “Never Put It In Writing” (1964), “The Greatest Story Ever Told” (1965), a documentary “Roger & Me” (1989). Pat`s most recent performance as an actor was in the 2008 documentary “Hollywood On Fire”.

Currently, he is still a member of “Gosper Music Hall of Fame”, founded in 1971. This is an association that gives respect to all the artists and music bands that contribute to gospel music: Pat Boone focused on gospel music in the 1960s. Pat also increases his net worth by being a motivational speaker, and a political commentator.

As regards Pat Boone`s personal life, singing is everywhere in his family. Since 1953 he has been married to Shirley Lee Foley, a daughter of the country music artist Red Foley. They have four daughters, two of whom singers, including Debby Boone, a Grammy Award for Best New Artist winner. The whole family has performed together as gospel singers.

14 He badly wanted to play the lead role in The Sand Pebbles (1966), but director Robert Wise wanted Steve McQueen instead.
15 Considered running for office in 1968 on a pro-war platform.
16 In 2006 he and his wife Shirley Boone donated $3 million to Pepperdine University for the Graduate School of Education and Psychology Center for the Family.
17 Actively supported Ronald Reagan's campaigns for Governor of California in 1966 and 1970, as well as his bid to win the Republican nomination in 1976.
18 He is a staunch supporter of the Republican Party, and campaigned for George W. Bush in the 2000 and 2004 presidential elections.
19 In the 1980s Boone owned a television station in Orange County, California, on which he featured a variety of conservative evangelical religious shows and launched the short-lived career of ultra-right-wing talk-show host Wally George. In 2006 Boone penned an article for the arch-conservative political magazine WorldNetDaily in which he argued that Democrats and others who are against the Iraq War cannot, under any circumstances, be considered patriotic. He was later interviewed by Neil Cavuto on Fox News, where he expressed outrage against critics of George W. Bush, especially the Dixie Chicks, saying that their criticisms of the President showed they did not "respect their elders". He wrote another article defending actor Mel Gibson, who is a member of an extremely conservative Catholic denomination, after the actor was recorded unleashing a vicious anti-Semitic tirade while he was being arrested for drunk driving by a police officer he believed to be Jewish (the officer, as it turned out, was a Christian). In early 2007 Boone wrote two articles claiming that the scientific theory of evolution is "absurd," "nonsensical" and a "bankrupt false religion".
20 In each of his cinematographic contracts there was a term specifying that kissing his partner could not be forced on him by the director due to his religious convictions.
21 Singer Roy Orbison was a classmate when both future singers attended North Texas State Coillege.
22 His 1962 hit song "Speedy Gonzalez" featured the unmistakable vocal impression of Mel Blanc on the recording (Blanc improvised all of his lines).
23 Member of the Gospel Hall of Fame and Christian Hall of Fame.
24 His recording of "A Wonderful Time Up There" in 1958 became the first million-selling record with religious lyrics.
25 Former next door-neighbor of Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne. His cover of "Crazy Train" was used as the theme for The Osbournes (2002).
26 One of the owners of the American Basketball Association's Oakland Oaks from 1967-1969. He sold his interest in the team and it moved to Washington, DC.
27 Grandfather of Jessica Corbin and Gabi Ferrer.
28 Boone was heavily criticized in the 1950s, and since, for singing homogenized, sanitized versions of rock-'n'-roll songs written and/or popularized by Afro-American artists. For example, when he recorded Fats Domino's "Ain't That a Shame" (his first big hit) in 1956, he initially insisted upon changing the title to "Isn't That a Shame", feeling that the incorrect grammar of the original title would be a bad influence on young people. He was overruled. On another occasion, at around that same time, he succeeded in removing all of the more suggestive lyrics from his cover of Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally." On that occasion, he changed the original's, "I saw Uncle John with Long Tall Sally,/He saw Aunt Mary comin' and he ducked back in the alley" to, "Long Tall Sally's got a lot on the ball,/And nobody cares if she's long and tall."
29 Attended the University of North Texas.
30 Raised in Denton, Texas, USA.
31 Cousin of Richard Boone and Randy Boone.
32 Friends with Tammy Renne Harris, Miss Chicago 1990.
33 Has four daughters: Cherry Boone, Linda Boone, Debby Boone and Laura Boone.
34 Father in law is Red Foley.
35 His brother, Nick Boone, also had a popular music career under the name Nick Todd.
