Method Man Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Clifford Smith, commonly known by the stage name of Method Man, is a famous American rap artist, record producer, film score composer, master of ceremonies, as well as an actor. To the audience, Method Man is perhaps best known as part of a hip hop group that consists of Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, U-God, Masta Killa and Inspecktah Deck called “Wu-Tang Clan”. The group was formed in 1992 and shortly after their formation the band released its first studio album called “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)”. The album inspired the shift in the New York hip hop genre that was later adapted by such artists as Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z and Nas.

Method Man Net Worth $14 Million

As a group, the “Wu-Tang Clan” has released five studio albums, with the sixth one coming out in November 2014. Considered to be one of the best hip hop groups of all time, “Wu-Tang Clan” has been largely influential in the genre and has inspired many artists to adapt the style perpetrated by the group.

However, Method Man emerged as a successful artist outside of the group too. Together with a fellow rapper Redman, Method Man created a group “Method Man & Redman”, with which he released two studio albums, namely “Blackout!” and “Blackout! 2”. Method Man is not only a successful hip hop artist, but an actor as well. Throughout his career he has starred in such films as “Belly” with DMX, Nas and Tionne Watkins, “The Wackness” with Ben Kingsley and Josh Peck, and “How High” with Redman and Mike Epps.

A famous rap artist and actor, how rich is Method Man? According to sources, Method Man’s net worth is estimated to be $14 million. Undoubtedly, most of Method Man’s net worth and wealth comes from his rapping career, as well as other business ventures.

Method Man was born in 1971, in Long Island, New York. For the majority of his career, Method Man has been known as one of the most outstanding members in the “Wu-Tang Clan”. This perhaps helped him launch a successful solo career too. In 1994, shortly after joining “Wu-Tang Clan”, Method Man came out with his debut solo album called “Tical”, which featured guest appearances from his group members. The album peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart and later received a platinum certification for selling more than five million copies. A critical and commercial success, “Tical” inspired Method Man to work on solo projects, as well as undertake collaborations with other artists, while still being a relevant part of the “Wu-Tang Clan”. More recently, Method Man has been working on his solo album entitled “Method Man”, as well as contributing to projects with “Wu-Tang Clan” and Redman.

In addition to that, Method Man returned to acting and portrayed a main character in an upcoming movie called “Lucky Number”, as well as voiced a character in an animated sitcom entitled “Chozen”, which was cancelled shortly after its debut.

A famous actor and rapper, Method Man has an estimated net worth of $14 million.
