In my view, I can do more being an executive. I am an action oriented person. I want to implement anything I want and do it fast.
We will run for governor in 2013. For now, it's boxing.
I want to entertain the fans.
I'm satisfied with what I've done in boxing. I want to fight Mayweather because the people want it.
I'm not going to fight anybody as long as there is a problem with the decision of the promoter.
All my life I have had to fight. At first as a child I had to fight just to get something to eat.
I believe this world needs new heroes. The biggest fight in my life is not in boxing but it is now to end poverty in my country.
The fight will happen without the trash talk and it's a good example to the children who idolize the fighters. In my life it's my experience that the best promotion has been the Shane Mosley fight because everybody is friends.
So this Saturday I will wear yellow gloves as a symbol of unity.
I'm so happy for this fight because there is no trash talk.
I'm not aiming for a knockout. I focus on doing my best. If the knockout comes, fine. If not, that's OK.
It's very important to me to announce unity to help poverty and help the people in my country. We can help people if we work together.
It's important to me to give happiness, enjoyment to people, to keep improving myself always.
I'll always have a killer instinct.
You can be popular, or be a champion, without trash talking. And you can be a good example for people, especially children.
I never believed that you had to say bad things about your opponent to make yourself bigger.
When I listen to music, all the stress is gone. I feel stronger.
This is the last weight division for me. It's history for me and more importantly, a Filipino did it. (on becoming the first man in boxing to win seven titles in seven weight divisions.)
It was a hard fight tonight and I needed time to test his power. (referring to his opponent Miguel Cotto)
I felt sorry for him because he's friendly, he's a good guy. It's the trainer who talks too much. (on Hatton and trainer Floyd Mayweather, Sr.)
He was wary of my right hook. He was avoiding it and he lost his focus on my left. (on Hatton)
I am not hiding that. I still want to enter politics. There is nothing wrong with it. I sincerely want help my constituents in General Santos City. (statement about his future after he defeated Mexican Marco Antonio Barrera again)
"Twenty years have passed with no change here. The only new thing here is my mansion. I left this place but still nothing changed." (a political statement directly attacking South Cotabato's political dynasty for neglecting the development of the province)
