Lily Aldridge Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016
Lily Maud Aldridge was born on 15 November 1985, in Santa Monica, California USA, of English (father) and American descent. Lily is a Victoria’s Secret Angel, and as such is in a privileged but glamourous group of 15 models who display the company’s lingerie products, particularly on the yearly TV show.
So just how rich is Lily Aldridge? Sources estimate that Lily’s net worth has now grown to almost $60 million as of late 2015, the majority of her wealth having been accumulated initially from her modelling career which began in the early 2000s, but also through investments, and as a sometime photographer. These assets make Lily one of the models who has benefited most from her association with Victoria’s Secret Angels, being ranked the fourth wealthiest from over 200 models who have worked for the company.
Lily’s father Alan is an artist. and her mother Laura was a Playboy ‘Playmate’ in the 1970s, so she had an insight into the modelling industry from an early age. The outdoor clothing and equipment company Abercrombie and Fitch was the first to spot Lily’s potential when she was just 16, which was when her net worth took off. The following year Lily’s worth was noticed internationally, by the Spanish edition of Vogue magazine on whose cover she was pictured, the first of many magazine shoots.
Since her debut as a model both ‘live’ and in advertising catalogues and magazines, Lily Aldridge has worked consistently in both media. Her appearances in magazines include Elle in Korea, Vietnam and Brazil, the Mexican Vogue, French Glamour, the Russian edition of Allure, and the on-line magazine of Net-A-Porter. Of course, all these assignments have contributed significantly to Lily’s net worth. Additionally, Lily has been featured in articles and editorials in several prominent publications, indicating that she is not just a pretty face – these included Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, several editions of Vogue, and Marie Claire.
Following her first project with Abercrombie and Fitch, her talent was subsequently noticed by many notable companies, including Tommy Hilfiger, Rocawear, Smashbox Cosmetics, Gap, Levi’s, and Shiatzy Chen among many others. Again, Lily’s net worth was boosted considerably through these contracts.
Another particularly notable appearance by Lily was in the 50th Anniversary edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2014 – a much read magazine worldwide, which would also have boosted her fame and her net worth.
Of course, Lily Aldridge’s biggest claim to fame has been her selection for, and continuation as one of Victoria’s Secret Angels, in 2010, having first been on their cat-walk in 2009. The annual fashion show is broadcast on prime-time TV in the USA, and is very highly rated, ensuring wide exposure for the participating models, of whom there are never more than 15. Clearly these models are highly regarded as well as receiving a boost both then and later to their net worth.
As an aside from modelling, in 2013 her own fashion line Lily Aldridge for Velvet was introduced, just how successfully is yet to be determined.
In her personal life, Lily Aldridge married singer-guitarist and member of rock band Kings of Leon, Caleb Followill, in 2011, they have a daughter.
