Kristin Davis Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Kristin Landen Davis was born on 24th February, 1965 in Boulder, Colorado, USA. She is an actress well known for her role of Charlotte York Goldenblatt from the popular television series “Sex and the City” (1998–2004). She is the winner of two Screen Actors Guild Awards shared with other series “Sex and the City” cast members, and a nominee for an Emmy Award for the same role. She has been active in the entertainment industry since 1987.

How rich is Kristin Davis? Recently, it has been estimated that the net worth of this actress is as much as $60 million, though the only source of her income is acting.

Kristin Davis Net Worth $60 Million

To begin with, she always wanted to be an actress, and was focused on this ambition. After finishing high school she studied at Mason Gross School of the Arts which belongs to Rutgers University. There she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in acting, and then she pursued the career of an actress.

In 1987, Kristin Davis debuted on the big screen in the film “Doom Asylum” (1987) directed by Richard Friedman. Afterwards, she episodically appeared in various television series, including “Mann & Machine” (1992), “The Larry Sanders Show” (1993) and “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” (1994). However, it was the series of “Melrose Place” (1995–1996) created by Darren Star which helped the actress to reveal her talents and attract the attention of both critics and directors, but another leading role in television series “Sex and the City” (1998–2004) also created by Darren Star was even more successful. Though it was criticised for the subjects discussed, the series received worldwide acclaim.

Meanwhile, Davis starred alongside Rob Lowe in the action thriller film “Atomic Train” (1999) directed by David Jackson and Dick Lowry, and together with Meat Loaf starred in the thriller “Blacktop” (2000) directed by T. J. Scott. More, she landed the leading roles in television films such as “Someone to Love” (2001) and “Three Days” (2001). Unfortunately, since 2006 her appearances have received mostly negative or mixed reviews by critics. Neither a role in the comedy “The Shaggy Dog” (2006) directed by Brian Robbins nor the one in another comedy “Deck the Halls” (2006) received positive reviews. Even though both “Sex and the City” (2008 and 2010) franchise films were commercially successful, they were highly criticized, too. To make matters worse Kristin won the Golden Raspberry Award as the Worst Actress. One more role, which was also a failure, was been landed in the romantic comedy “Couples Retreat” (2009) directed by Peter Billingsley. Kristin’s last appearance on the big screen in the feature film “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island” (2012) received mixed reviews.

In 2014, Kristin Davis debuted on the West End theatre in the play “Fatal Attraction”.
In her not so personal life, Kristin Davis has admitted to having problems concerning alcohol, and has undertaken a rehabilitation course so is now recovering.

Currently, Kristin Davis claims to be single. She has an adopted daughter, and they have a residence in Los Angeles, California, USA.

#Quote
1 I feel sexiest when I'm naked at home, in private. God help me.
2 I'm a hard-core Prada addict. I can't think of a time I've entered a Prada store and not bought something.
3 I am definitely not a fashionista. I can't live up to that title, I don't want to. Also, I think fashion can have a very negative impact on young people who feel they have to be thin. A lot of young actresses are really unhealthy. It didn't happen to me when I was younger because I grew up in South Carolina in a very secure environment.
4 At one point, they offered me this part to play a drug-dealing, gun-selling butch lady. I don't know how to describe her but she had like a crew cut and stuff. I was like, "Is this a joke?" And they said, "No, we think it would be great because everyone would be like, "Oh, look at what we've done to Charlotte."" I was like, "Well I can't do that!"
5 It's nice to be with someone, but I don't think you need to be in a relationship to feel complete. That would be really sad.
6 [on motherhood]: I'm open. Adoption is wonderful. I think there are many different ways to do it. I'm an only child, so it's hard to picture the whole multi-child situation. Cynthia has two children and it is unbelievable the amount of work involved. I have the most respect for it in the world, but I'm not sure if I'm cut out for it.
7 [on her childhood in South Carolina]: We were very rich, culturally. One Sunday each month, we would do this thing called Chamber Pots at somebody's house. A classical music group would come over and we'd have dinner. There were thirty people (parents and kids) and we'd sit on the floor and listen to this beautiful music. I never appreciated it until I was grown up and realized how lucky I was to be exposed to so much, so young.
8 [on her character, Brooke, on Melrose Place (1992)]: Oh my God, it was awful! One time I was in a department store and, as I was walking around, I could hear women whispering: "There's Brooke - that bitch!" I wanted to scream: "I'm not Brooke, I just play her on TV!"
9 [on her character, Charlotte, from Sex and the City (1998)]: She's really, very funny. I would never describe Charlotte as a prude. Maybe at the start, but that was in comparison to the other girls. She wasn't willing to do the stuff they were doing and I mean, thank goodness! I think she has some themes, like wanting security, that many women relate to. That's what's so great about our show, plus it shows the different choices that women have.
