Kimi Raikkonen Net Worth $180 Million

Kimi Raikkonen started his career in karting when he was a small ten year-old boy. However, he was really successful as a teenager, and participated in the Monaco kart race when he was 15 years old. As a kid he was driving with his older brother, who later also became a racer, although not as successful as Kimi. His first serious winning year was 2000, when he participated in the “British Formula Renault” series, and won four races an.d the championship.

Only one year later, Raikkonen’s net worth rose considerably as he was signed by Sauber to participate in Formula One and was 10th in the championship. After this debut in Formula One, Kimi was signed by McLaren for the 2002 season and finshed in sixth place. He won his first Grand Prix in Malaysia in 2003 and finished second in the championship. In 2004 he won the Belgian Grand Prix and finished seventh in the Championship. In 2005, Kimi won seven Grand Prix and finished second in the Championship, but in 2006 failed to win any races, and was fifth in the Chamionship. Kimi Raikkonen’s big year was 2007, when he transferred to Ferrari and finally won the Formula One Drivers’ Champioship, including six races, and was able to build up his net worth substantially, with his contract reputed to be worth $51 million. Unfortunately, despite his undoubted talent as a driver, his cars didn’t quite match up, and in the next two seasons he won only three races.

Kimi returned to Formula One in 2012 with the Lotus team, winning one race and finishing third in the Championship, then winning one more race in 2013 and securing fifth place in the Championship.

For the year 2014, Kimi Raikkonen returned to Scuderia Ferrari, with Fernando Alonso and Pedro de la Rossa, but again success eluded him. Regardless, Kimi’s net worth continued to rise.
