Jeffrey Adam Zucker was born on the 9th April 1965 in Homestead, Florida USA, and is a producer probably best recognized not only for being the former President and CEO of NBC Universal, but also for being the current President of CNN Worldwide. His career has been active since 1986.

In his teens, Jeff also worked as a freelance reporter for “The Miami Herald”. Upon matriculation in 1982, and before college, he enrolled at Northwestern University’s National High School Institute program for journalism, after which he became a student at Harvard University. There, he was the President of the college paper “The Harvard Crimson”; he graduated with a BA degree in American history in 1986.

Jeff’s career began right after college, as he started working on the 1988 Summer Olympics for the NBC channel as a researcher for NBC Sports’ coverage. In the following year, he became a producer for “Today”, and later in 1992 he was named as its executive producer, which marked the beginning of an increase of his net worth. Subsequently, Jeff became the President of NBC Entertainment, and thanks to him, the episodes of the TV series “Friends” were extended by 10 minutes, which earned NBC over $870 million. Furthermore, he also introduced other TV series, such as “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, “Las Vegas”, and “Scrubs”, which further increased the popularity of the channel. In 2003, he became the President of NBC’s Entertainment, News & Cable Group, a year later the President of its Television Group, and in 2007 was named the President and CEO of NBC Universal; however, he didn’t have any major success, so he was actually paid over $30 million to leave.

Afterwards, Jeff began to work with Katie Couric on her daytime talk show “Katie”, which was aired on the Disney-ABC Domestic Television channel, but he soon left when he was chosen to be the President of CNN Worldwide in 2013. As the President, he also became in charge of all CNN’s businesses, such as the CNN US television network, CNN Digital, CNN International and HLN. Under his tenure, CNN became the channel with the highest growth in ratings. The news was its first priority, but he began to publish more documentary programs, which increased viewership significantly. Currently, CNN is the third channel in the world with the most trafficked news outlet, which has added a considerable amount to his net worth too.
