Jason Priestley Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Jason Bradford Priestley was born on 28 August 1969, in Vancouver, Canada. For those who love TV series’, Jason is probably best known as Brandon Walsh, the character he played in the 1990s series “Beverly Hills 90210”. More recently, since 2010 Jason has starred in another TV series entitled “Call Me Fitz”, portraying Richard Fitzpatrick. These TV shows were two of the most watchable at their respective times, definitely adding solid sums to Jason Priestley’s net worth, as well as maintaining his popularity with audiences.

So just how rich is Jason Priestley? Recently sources have estimated that Jason’s net worth is as high as $22 million, which he has  managed to accumulate during his acting career beginning in the late 1980s,  and in directing films too, which also started with “Beverly Hills 90210”.

Jason Priestley Net Worth $22 Million

Probably the main reason why Jason decided to pursue a career in acting was his mom, Sharon Kirk, who was also an actress. Jason`s early performances included TV commercials. Jason first appeared in the TV series “Airwolf”, in 1987. Following that, he starred in “21 Jump Street”,  and although only appearing in  two episodes of the latter, the show was very popular, and definitely increased Jason Priestley’s net worth as well as his popularity. Jason then portrayed an orphan in “Sister Kate”, but only for a short time as this show had only a short run. The young American–Canadian actor has also starred in “Quantum Leap” and “MacGyver”, other popular TV shows.

As mentioned, Jason Priestley is best known for starring in “Beverly Hills 90210”, especially noticed by young girls, which really started to boost Jason ’s net worth.  Priestley was even nominated twice for a Golden Globe award. Actually, “Beverly Hills 90210” involved all the activities that Jason pursues in his life, as he was not only an actor in this show, but also directed 19 episodes of it. After eight years of starring in this show, Jason had to leave the cast because he decided to move to Washington DC. Although he could not appear in the show as an actor, he still contributed to the production of “Beverly Hills 90210” as an executive producer, until the show ended in 2000. Unquestionably, the show helped Jason to gross a lot of money.

Jason then had a short break from acting, returning to the screen in 2004, when he took roles in TV shows “Tru Calling”, “Without a Trace”, and “What I Like About You”.

As for acting in movies, Jason Priestley has appeared in “Love and Death on Long Island”, “Calendar Girl”, and “Tombstone”. As a director, Jason produced a couple of music videos, including the song by Bakenaked Ladies called The Old Apartment.

Speaking of Jason Priestley’s personal life, on May 14 2005, Jason married make-up artist Naomi Lowde. In 2007 the couple had a daughter, Ava Veronica and in 2009  a son they named Dashiell Orson.

#Quote
1 [on his falling out with Brad Pitt] Our careers went in such different directions that we sort of lost touch with each other. Brad went off and was making movies all over the world, and I was sort of stuck in one place making a TV show.
2 [on his character Brandon Walsh] I hated him even when I was playing him! But I feel like my life and my career moved on, and thankfully, I never got stuck playing that guy over and over. But judging from some of my Twitter followers, a lot of other people got stuck on him!
3 [on leaving 90210] When I left the show, it was so anticlimactic, it just left a bad taste in my mouth. It was the fourth episode of the ninth season. I did the first scene of the morning - literally with this actor who was brought in to replace me - and that was it. I hugged the crew, picked up my box of stuff, went to my car and drove away. There was no party, no nothing. I felt like I'd wasted nine years of my life.
4 [on his early fame] When I look back, I am surprised I made it out. It was hard, being a young man in LA. I never had the temerity to consider that [level of fame] was a possibility. Nobody would expect that; you'd be an idiot to expect that.
5 [on Shannen Doherty being difficult] No, she wasn't. I had a lot of good times with Shannen. You know the tabloids blow everything way out of proportion, and they certainly did with Shannen.
6 [on his departure of 90210] In retrospect, I do regret leaving. Understanding what I do now about story and character, I believe that [Aaron Spelling] was pushing the story in a direction that would have had Brandon and Kelly end up together at the end of the show and I think I probably should have stuck around to its fruition. I think my departure also hurt Aaron's feelings. Aaron and I had worked very closely together for a number of years. He gave me a lot of opportunities, and I feel like my departure hurt his feelings and I never meant to do that.
7 [on his decision to star in a Masters of Horror episode] The decision was made by the fact that Joe Dante was directing and Elliot Gould was the co-star... I believe I said yes before I even read the script.
8 [on what work he's most proud of] Wow... that's a tough one... Call Me Fitz, Tombstone, Love and Death on Long Island, Coldblooded...
9 [on Tru Calling] I do like playing bad guys, especially baddies like Jack. He was a complicated guy and I really liked the interplay with he and Tru in that show. Shame when that one got the axe.
10 [on hanging out with ex-90210 cast members] No. Luke and I are the most friendly and try to get together a couple of times a year.
11 [on Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990)] I knew working on that show was going to be a great opportunity for me to learn as much as I could from Aaron Spelling. I thought I would be able to talk him into letting me direct an episode and - lo and behold! - he did. And now, looking back, I can't figure out for the life of me what the old man was thinking, turning the show over to a 23-year-old kid. But I'm very thankful that he did because he gave me one episode in the third season. The fourth season he gave me two; the fifth season he gave me three; and, in the sixth, he gave me five. He just kept giving me more episodes and I just kept shooting them. And that sort of ambition led me here.
