Jason Gedrick Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Jason Michael Gedroic is an American film and television actor, who was born on the 7th February 1965, in Chicago Illinois, the youngest of three children. He is of Polish and some Lithuanian descent. He is probably best known for his roles in “Boomtown” and “Murder One”.

How rich is Jason Gedrick? Sources estimate his net worth at $1.5 million, earned mostly over the course of his acting career which began in the early 1980s.

Jason Gedrick Net Worth $1.5 million

Gedrick matriculated from Gordon Technical High School to attend Drake University, in Des Moines, Iowa. He stayed for only a year, mainly to appease his parents, spending this time working toward a degree in Business. He left, deciding instead to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. At this time, Gedroic took the stage name Jason Gedrick, pronounced the same as Gedroic, but much easier to read.

Gedrick began his career as a teenager, appearing as an extra in features, before landing his first credited on-screen role in 1984 with the film “Massive Retaliation”. This was followed by 1985’s “The Zoo Gang”, a British six-part series starring John Mills. It was in 1986 that he rose to a higher level of public recognition, in “Iron Eagle”, as the character of Doug Masters. Before getting the part, he was required to audition no less than six times. The most financially successful film in which he has appeared, was 2001’s “Summer Catch”, starring Freddie Prinze, Jr, which generated a profit of $20 million. His work on the big screen has contributed greatly to his wealth.

Gedrick’s television work has been more extensive than in his movies, and he has earned a bit of a reputation for appearing in short-lived shows which have been cancelled, including but not limited to, “Luck”, “Lincoln Heights”, and “Windfall”. Gedrick described himself as “the court jester of critically acclaimed cancelled TV series”. He also suffered the misfortune of being cast in 1995’s “Murder One”, only to be removed from the cast and replaced after the show garnered very low ratings.

Gedrick’s next few shows performed similarly poorly. He had more success in a guest spot as an attractive car wash attendant on “Ally McBeal”, and as a love interest for two seasons of “Desperate Housewives”. In 2003, he played real-life rapist Andrew Luster, great grandson of cosmetics manufacturer Max Factor, in a made-for-TV Lifetime movie. He appeared in the Amazon original series “Bosch” as a serial Killer, to much critical acclaim. Gedrick currently stars in the popular crime drama “Major Crimes” as Detective Mark Hickman.

In addition to his screen work, Gedrick has also appeared on stage. He made his Broadway debut in 1989, starring alongside Don Ameche and Helen Hunt in “Our Town”.

In his personal life, Gedrick was married between 1989 and 1997 to Dana Lavas; they had three children together. According to reports dating back to 2015, he has not dated too extensively since his divorce from Lavas, or has kept his relationships extremely private. His parents divorced when he was a child, with his two siblings going to live with his father whilst he stayed with his mother. He is dyslexic, but in his spare time still participates in sports including basketball and golf.

#Quote
1 You want to know the truth? I'm one of the most juvenile people I know. Truly, I am stuck in like a 12 year old state. I mean, I'm goofy. If I had to describe myself, that's the only way I can put it. And the people who know me, even the people who just know me a little bit, they couldn't deny that I'm just a goofy guy.
2 Sure, I think everyone fantasizes about being bad, and the baddest thing you can be is in the mob. I do, too, sometimes. And I think even women wish they were going out with the guy from the mob 'cause he's cool and has money and is scary. But I think the idea of converting him into a choirboy is the true appeal.
3 I don't know if I'm king, but I'm definitely the court jester of critically acclaimed canceled TV series. But what are you going to do? I try to have a sense of humor about it, because there's no rhyme or reason sometimes why a show succeeds or doesn't. It's just the nature of the business. Luckily, I've been able to keep getting great roles and I continue to somehow survive through it all.
4 Maybe the real reason I'm a performer is because I'm the youngest of three kids. Maybe it was a way to get attention. And ultimately, as I look back on it now, I'm kind of curious. Maybe that's it. As an actor, I can investigate and analyze many different ways of living, the psychology of different people. I really don't want to get too pedantic here, but I just truly enjoy exploring other lives. That's always been fun for me.
