Not only did she become famous after starring in this show, it also helped her in making her way to becoming a millionaire.

Jasmine Guy Net Worth $2 Million

Jasmine, born in Massachusetts, but raised in Atlanta, Georgia, is a daughter of Jaye Rudolph and Reverend William Guy, an ordinary family that had nothing to do with the entertainment industry. Her farther was a pastor, while her mother was working as a teacher in a high school. Guy attended Northside Performing Arts High School (now known as North Atlanta High School) ‘til she moved to New York being seventeen years old. She continued her studies by attending Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and it was then that she found herself operating in the entertainment industry.

Jasmine started her acting career in the year 1982, when she was given a non-speaking role in the famous TV series “Fame”. Appearing as a dancer, she took part in ten episodes of the show. Her next stop was another TV series called “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, in which she appeared once playing Kayla, a girlfriend of Will Smith.

Guy has a long list of achievements in the industry, performing in many famous TV shows year by year. To mention some of them, she starred in “The Cosby Show”, “The Vampire Diaries”, “Drop Dead Diva” and others. Not to forget her appearance in such films as “Harlem Nights”, “October Baby”, “Scary Movie” and many more. Such an impressive resume has played a major role in accumulating revenues to her net worth.

Another interesting fact to mention, in the year 1990 her self-titled debut album was released by the artist herself. Later on, in the year 2004 Guy tried herself as a writer by publishing a book entitled Evolution of a Revolutionary, Afeni Shakur’s biography. Afeni is still Jasmine’s close friend. The book contributed a little to Jasmine’s net worth.

Being 51 years old, Jasmine Guy continues to surprise everyone with her talents. Nowadays, Guy lives in her hometown Atlanta, and is involved in working at Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theater Company, where she holds the position of an executive director. Not only does she do administrative work in the company, but she also continues to perform on stage. These activities are now contributing to her net worth.

Speaking about her personal life, Jasmine Guy married Terrence Duckett in 1998, but after living together for ten years and giving birth to a girl called Imani Duckett, the famous couple eventually divorced in 2008. Among the close friends of Guy we can find Tupac Shakur, one of the world’s most famous rappers, as well as Kadeem Hardison and O.J. Simpson.
