Gail O’grady Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Gail Ann O’Grady was born on the 23rd January 1963, in Detroit, Michigan USA, and is a Primetime Emmy Award-nominated actress, best known to the world for her role of Donna Abandando in the popular crime investigation mystery drama TV series “NYPD Blue” (1993-1999), and as Helen Pryor in the musical drama TV series “American Dreams”, among other differing roles; also for her six marriages. Gail’s career started in 1986.

Have you ever wondered how rich Gail O’Grady is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that O’Grady’s net worth is as high as $3 million, earned through her successful career in the entertainment industry as an actress, during which she appeared in more 90 film and TV titles, also possibly from several divorce settlements..

Gail O’Grady Net Worth $3 Million

Gail is the child of Jim O’Grady and his wife Jan; although she was born in Detroit, Michigan, she grew up in Wheaton, Illinois, matriculating from Wheaton North High School in 1981. Gail then launched her career by appearing in several commercials, before she moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career as an actress.

Gail signed a contract with the Montgomery Ward, and continued with commercials until she appeared in the TV series “Werewolf” in 1987. Immediately the next year she was cast in the film “She’s Having a Baby”, starring Kevin Bacon, Elizabeth McGovern and Alec Baldwin, which put her on the Hollywood map, and certainly increased her net worth by a large margin. Until the end of the decade, Gail had lead roles in “Blackout” (1988) with Carol Lynley and Michael Keys Hall, and in “Spellcaster” (1988) with Adam Ant and Richard Blade, which also increased her net worth.

She started the ‘90s with the lead role in the comedy “Nobody’s Perfect” (1990), and continued with appearances in television films such as “People Like Us” the same year, and “The Hit Man” (1991). In 1993 she was selected for the role of Donna Abandando in the TV series “NYPD Blue”, and through 1999 appeared in 58 episodes, increasing her net worth by a large margin.

Meantime Gail had other roles too, including those in films such as “Trial by Fire” (1995) with Keith Carradine and Michael Bowen, and the same year starred in the romantic drama “Nothing Lasts Forever” with Brooke Shields and Vanessa Williams. In 1997 she featured in the thriller “Medusa’s Child” with Vincent Spano and Lori Loughlin, and in 1997 had the lead role in the romantic comedy “Two of Hearts”.

She finished the decade with roles in films “Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo” and “Walking Across Egypt”, both in 1999.

Gail started the new millennium with the lead role in the television film “Another Woman’s Husband” (2000), and in 2002 she was selected for the role of Helen Pryor in the TV series “American Dreams” (2002-2005), which further increased her net worth. In 2003 she had the lead role in the film “Sex & the Single Mom”, and repeated her role in the sequel “More Sex & the Single Mom” (2005). In 2007 she portrayed Karen Hardy in the TV series “Hidden Palms”, and also Judge Gloria Weldon in “Boston Legal”. The same year she appeared in the film “All I Want for Christmas”, and in 2009 had the lead role in the film “The House That Jack Built”. In 2010 she portrayed Wanda Perkins in “Hellcats” (2010-2011), and in 2013 had the role in the television film “Shadow on the Mesa” (2013). The following year, Gail was selected for the role of Stevie Grayson in the TV series “Revenge” (2014-2015), and in 2015 portrayed Debra Wolf in “Mother of the Bride” (2015).

Most recently, she featured in the film “Love on Ice” (2017), which also increased her net worth, while she will appear in the film “Talbot County”, scheduled for release later in 2017.

Regarding her personal life, somewhat be musingly she has six short marriages and divorces behind her. After failing to gain a restraining order against former partner Robert Claypool, her first husband was Richard Dasko from 1981 until 1983. Her second marriage lasted a year too, in 1987 with Severin Wunderman, as did her third to Jeffrey Byron in 1990 – they divorced the following year.

Three years later Gail married Steve Fenton, which also lasted a year. In 1998 she married Anthony J Pellegrino, but the two divorced in 2000.

Her last marriage was with John Stamatakis, to whom she was married from 2004 to 2008. She didn’t have any children with her marital partners, but gave birth to her only child with Chris Byers in 2004, before she married John Stamatakis.

#Quote
1 I think the paparazzi is a necessary evil...and if ya don't like it, and ya don't want to do this, go to Iowa and do some community theatre. It's all about self-promotion and it's not always the fun part of it.
2 Nobody gets paid $20 million a picture just for the talent. You sell a little part of yourself too.
