David Wayne Spade, commonly known as David Spade, is a famous American comedian, voice actor, television and film producer, as well as an actor. David Spade first caught the public‘s attention when he appeared as a member of the sketch comedy series called “Saturday Night Live” in the 1990s. Since then, Spade has became known for his roles in the comedy film directed by Peter Segal “Tommy Boy”, in which he co-starred with Chris Farley, and the sitcom entitled “Just Shoot Me!”, in which he played the character of Dennis Fitch. In 2007, Spade joined the cast of “Rules of Engagement” sitcom, appearing alongside Patrick Warburton, Megyn Price and Oliver Hudson. Upon its release, the show succeeded in attracting the attention of 12.38 million viewers during its first season, while its last, seventh season was watched by 7.69 million. Currently, David Spade is filming for two upcoming films, namely “Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser” co-starring Brittany Daniel, and an animated comedy film with Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg called “Hotel Transylvania 2”.

David Spade was born in 1964 in Michigan, United States, yet his family soon settled down in Arizona, where he studied at Saguaro High School. He continued his studies at Scottsdale Community College, and later enrolled in Arizona State University. While at the university, he became a member of a sketch comedy group known as “Farce Side Comedy Hour”, with which he performed on stage. Upon graduation, Spade joined “Saturday Night Live”, where he served both as a writer and an actor. Spade’s sense of humor and acting skills soon made him popular among viewers, as a result of which he started receiving offers to star in his own television shows. However, he declined these offers and instead went on to appear in such productions as “Just Shoot Me!”, which brought him a nomination for an Emmy Award, and “Joe Dirt”, starring alongside Dennis Miller and Kid Rock. In 2000, Spade created an animated television series called “Sammy”, in which he voiced the main character of the show Sammy Blake. Aside from “Sammy”, Spade has voiced characters in such productions as “The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning”, “Beavis and Butt-head”, “The Rugrats Movie”, and “The Emperor’s New Groove”, for which he received a nomination for a Kid’s Choice Award. For his contributions to the film and television industry, David Spade was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003.

In regards to his personal life, David Spade has been in a relationship with Jillian Grace, who is known for her appearances on “Playboy” magazine. Together, Spade and Grace have a daughter Harper, who was born in 2008. David’s brother Andy Spade is a co-founder of “Partners & Spade” and one of the best fashion-branding gurus in the country.
