In his first season, he finished with 19 tackles and 2 interceptions, and helped his team reach the Super Bowl, however, they lost to the Denver Broncos. With each season, his performances improved, and in 2000 he earned his first Pro-Bowl appearance, which he later increased to five appearances in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2009. Thanks to his great performance, Darren earned a contract extension with the Green Bay Packers, which only increased his net worth further.

Darren stayed with Green Bay until 2005, when he was released, however, within two days he was offered a contract by the Minnesota Vikings, which he accepted, and which certainly increased Darren`s net worth.
