Clancy Brown Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Clarence J. Brown III was born on 5th January 1959, in Urbana, Ohio USA, and is known as an actor as well as voice actor. He has starred in such feature films as “Highlander” (1986) and “The Shawshank Redemption” (1994) as well as in the television series “Carnivàle” (2003–2005). Clancy has also voiced many animated characters, for instance Mr. Krabs from “SpongeBob Squarepants” (1999–present). Clancy Brown has been accumulating his net worth as an actor and voice actor since 1983.

Having such a long spanned career, Clancy Brown has an estimated net worth of $3 million. Some basic facts: Brown was educated at St. Albans School and earned his degree at Northwestern University. As an actor he debuted in 1983 and this is the main source of his net worth, up until now.

Clancy Brown Net Worth $3 Million

Clansy Brown added much to his net worth from acting in a number of feature films. The most prominent roles he created in the following films: the crime drama “Bad Boys” (1983) directed by Rick Rosenthal, the horror film “The Bride” (1985) directed by Franc Roddam, the thriller film “Shoot to Kill” (1988) directed by Roger Spottiswoode, the thriller film “Past Midnight” (1991) directed by Jan Eliasberg, the drama films “The Shawshank Redemption” (1994) directed by Frank Darabont, “The Guardian” (2006) directed by Andrew Davis and other. More, Brown created the roles in independent films “The Burrowers” (2008), “A Nightmare on Elm Street” (2010), “John Dies at the End” (2012) and others.

Another source of Clancy Brown net worth is television. He was cast as a regular character in the television series “Earth 2” (1994–1995) and “Carnivàle” (2003–2005). Clancy appeared in episodes of the series “The Dukes of Hazzard” (1983), “ER” (1997–1998), “The Practice” (2000), “Star Trek: Enterprise” (2002), “Lost” (2006), “The Riches” (2007), “The Deep End” (2010) and “Sleepy Hollow” (2013 – 2014). Overall, Clancy has appeared in more than 80 films on the big screen and TV, and over 100 TV series, so he has been in great demand, although his net worth perhaps doesn’t reflect this.

However, voicing has taken the biggest part in the career of Clancy Brown. He is the voice of such well known characters as Lex Luthor from “Superman: The Animated Series” (1996–2000), IGOR / Robot Maximus from “Voltron: The Third Dimension” (1998–2000), Mr. Krabs from “SpongeBob SquarePants” (1999–present), Captain Black/ Ratso / Super Moose from “Jackie Chan Adventures” (2000–2005), Mr. Freeze / Bane / Lex Luthor from “The Batman” (2004–2007), Chris Bradford/Dogpound/Rahzar from “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (2012–present) and a long list of other characters.

It should be noted that Clancy Brown voiced not only cartoons but also video games that have added to his net worth. The first video game he voiced was “Lands of Lore: Guardians of Destiny” (1997). Up to date, he has voiced about 30 video games including “Crash Team Racing” (1999), “SpongeBob SquarePants: Employee of the Month” (2002), “Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Burning Earth” (2007), “Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham” (2014).

Regarding the private life of Clancy Brown, he married Jeanne Johnson in 1993, and they have two children.

13 Originally auditioned for the role of Superman/Clark Kent on Bruce Timm's Superman (1996), but Timm felt his voice was better suited to Lex Luthor, bringing the archvillain a smooth combination of menacing brute and charming manipulator. Tim Daly was then cast as Superman/Clark Kent instead.

Clancy offered to assist the Wrights in their plight. He also bought young Madison a laptop computer for Christmas in 1999. Tragically, Madison died seven years later, in July 2006, of a heart attack.

#Quote
1 There have been a couple of jobs I've done without thinking, without being engaged, and they just stink.
2 I am constantly amazed on every level at how lucky I am.
3 I would have had fun doing just about anything.
4 Can I, just one time, play the good guy?
5 Atrocities are human nature - they don't have political beliefs, color, creed or anything like that. They just happen, it's human.
6 Whatever comes next for this generation, that's going to be the greatest voice.
7 When you see something that's so excellent it can be intimidating to walk into it no matter how many people you know.
8 Why should we change on stage? We're not trying to be something big and fancy, it's just us, doing what we do, we'd like to keep it that way.
9 If it's something that reaches out and grabs me, I want to do it. I have a lot of trouble doing things that don't grab me. So, I'm not a very good actor in that way. I can't fake it.
10 It used to be that a son could look at the father, and pretty much know what life was gonna be like as an adult. There was confidence in that, and comfort in that, and frustration also.
11 I have a big voice so I do all the little boy cartoons.
12 All the movies where I play nice guys don't seem to do very well.
13 [on The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension (1984)] I think it could have done well, but it got mixed up in one of those Hollywood studio game things, where they all change places. Buckaroo Banzai was just so strange that nobody really knew how to approach it. It really is way ahead of its time.
14 [on the making of Highlander (1986)] For the scene we did in the church there could have been a wonderful dialogue - "God, this doesn't compare to the Greek Orthodox Church", or "I liked it better when they did it in Latin", or any type of thing. There's all sorts of twists that could have been done. I like the little twists like that because they make the audience think. "Highlander" still has its action and everything, but that's really all we went for here, the good guy/bad guy, cops-and-robbers type of thing.
