Celine Dion Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

Celine Marie Claudette Dion, simply known as Celine Dion, is a famous Canadian songwriter and, singer. Celine Dion’s rise to fame started in the 1980s, when she won two of the most significant singing contests at the time, namely “Eurovision Song Contest” and “Yamaha World Popular Song Festival”. It was largely due to these two competitions that Celine Dion was able to launch a successful singing career.

Celine Dion Net Worth $500 Million

Up to date, Celine Dion has released fourteen studio albums in French language, and eleven English-language albums, the majority of which have enjoyed international success. Considered to be one of the top-selling artists in the music industry and the best-selling artist in Canadian history, Celine Dion has sold more than 220 million copies worldwide, while her albums earned her five Grammy Awards.

A famous singer, how rich is Celine Dion? In 2013, Celine Dion’s earnings amounted to $58 million. In addition to her salary, Celine Dion has acquired several valuable assets, such as her Jupiter Island mansion, the worth of which is $72.5 million, and a Montreal mansion, which is valued at $29 million. That same year, Dion together with her husband invested $15 million in the “Golf Le Mirage”. In regards to her wealth, Celine Dion’s net worth is estimated to be $500 million, the majority of which comes from her singing career.

Celine Dion was born in 1968, in Quebec, Canada. When she was only twelve years old, Celine Dion composed her first song, and some time later released her first record entitled “The Voice of the Good God”, originally in French, which soon became a local hit. She continued making French songs and releasing albums in French language after that.

Celine Dion’s professional career began to develop after she took part in and won the “Eurovision Song Contest” in 1988. Two years later, she made her debut with her first English-language album called “Unison”, and even though it met with mixed reviews, it produced a single entitled “Where Does My Heart Beat Now”, which brought her success in the English music industry.

Dion continued releasing her studio work, until in 1996 she came out with “Falling into You”, a huge commercial success that brought her two Grammy Awards and spawned eight singles. The albums sold more than 32 million copies worldwide and became one of the best-selling albums in music history. A year later Dion released “Let’s Talk about Love”, which includes an award-winning song “My Heart Will Go On”. The song, which was featured on the soundtrack of a famous disaster film “Titanic” with Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, became a number one hit all over the world and is considered to be one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Even though the majority of her net worth comes from record sales, Celine Dion managed to add to her wealth through various business ventures, such as a Canadian chain of restaurants called “Nickels”, “Celine Dion Parfums”, which earned more than $850 million in sales, and her perfume “Signature”.

#Quote
1 [on Christina Aguilera] I remember thinking, "This girl's got it all, and then some!". Unbelievable voice, great dancer and so very beautiful. Without a doubt, she's one of the most talented artists the world has ever seen or heard, and I think she's going to continue to amaze us for many, many years to come.
2 I've always been an 'open book' when it comes to my fans. They are so loyal to me and give me such great support that I feel I want to share as much of my life with them as I can. They are part of this journey - a big part!
3 I only record songs that touch me in some way, ones that I can relate to.
4 I think it bothers people to see people that are happy and successful. So they try to find what's wrong with them. During my 30 years in show business, I've had lots of bad vibes and bad reviews, but between you and me, if that's bad I can go for another 30, just like that. I'm not losing sleep. To me, the most important thing is the response of people who come to see our shows. They're telling me to keep going.
5 [on plastic surgery] Three or four years ago, I would have considered it, but not today. Some people have suggested that I have my chin done, but I'm a singer and it could change my voice. I'm not a model whose survival depends on beauty. My job consists of putting the most emotions into my songs. It might be a stupid thing to say, but when I look at my father, my mother and pictures of my grand-parents, I am proud. I wouldn't like to change any of that. Just look at Barbra Streisand! Look at her nose! She is beautiful and she doesn't give a damn about what people think.
6 [People magazine, 12/3/07] I love performing, but I never really liked show business. My success is my family. I want to be more successful as a mother.
7 [People magazine, 12/3/07] I feel like I'm at the bottom of the ladder, finally. I started at the top. I came down. Maturity is being grounded. When you feel grounded, you feel strong. I know what I want.
8 [People magazine, 12/3/07] My life is to be a mom. It is what I enjoy the most. It is my most amazing reward. I will take a chance with my music. I don't take risks with my family.
9 [People magazine, 12/3/07, on her son seeing her Las Vegas show for the first time] He's the only guy who intimidates me.
10 [People magazine, 1994] I don't regret having lost my adolescence. I had one dream: I wanted to be a singer.
11 [People magazine, 12/3/07] The most important thing I can give to my son is my true values. Whatever choice he makes, I want him to assume his responsibilities and achieve what he wants - and be happy. For me to be able to give my happiness to my son, I cannot achieve better than that.
12 I'm not trying to be a nice girl, but it's me. I'm not afraid to be nice.
13 There's one way to do showbiz, if you want to do it perfectly, you have to be disciplined and you have to be ready to work really hard.
14 I'll be a Quebecker-Canadian. I'm from Quebec and every time I go to a country I say that. It's my roots, my origins and it's the most important thing to me.
15 For me, singing was real life, not two plus two equals four.
16 There's always a new thing happening to me that's even more extraordinary, so pressure gets harder. But I like it when it's hard. Anyone can do it when it's easy. When it's hard and you can do it good, you're proud of yourself. There's going to be more pressure as the years go by, that's for sure. But I think I'm a hard worker and I'm ready for that. As long as I believe in what I'm doing, the pressure is okay with me.
17 I guess it all depends on your nature. Some people can't stand being alone. I love solitude and silence. But when I come out of it, I'm a regular talking machine. It's all or nothing for me.
