Carlos Beltran Net Worth $80 Million

Carlos Beltran was interested in sports from an early age, especially in volleyball and baseball, but his father urged him to concentrate on baseball, which he started playing constantly at the age of 17. Carlos went to Fernando Callejo High School, matriculating in 1995, and soon after the Kansas City Royals selected him in the second round of the 1995 MLB draft, the basis of his net worth.

He spent the first few years in minor leagues, playing for the Gulf Coast Royals, Spokane Indians, Lansing Lugnuts, Wilmington Blue Rocks, and Wichita Wranglers. Beltran debuted in the MLB in September 1998, and went on to appear in 15 games that season, while in 1999 he was a starting center fielder and won the American League Rookie of the Year award. From 2000 to 2003, Carlos didn’t have the best time, but he bounced back in 2004 when he was named the American League Player of the Month for April, and earned his first All-Star invitation.

In June 2004, the Royals traded Beltran to the Houston Astros, and after that season he became a free agent, so he signed a fresh seven-year contract with the New York Mets, worth of $119 million. Beltran spent the next six seasons with the Mets, also appearing five times in the All-Star event, before moving to the San Francisco Giants in July 2011 in a trade when Zach Wheeler went the other way. While with the Mets, Beltran won the Gold Glove Award for three consecutive years (2006-2008) and Silver Slugger Award for two years in a row (2006-2007).

In December 2011, Carlos joined the St. Louis Cardinals in a two-year, $26 million deal, and even reached the World Series in 2013 with them, but the Cardinals lost to the Boston Red Sox in six games. He became a free agent following that season, and in December 2013, he moved to the New York Yankees after signing a three-year, $45 million contract. Beltran stayed in New York for three seasons before he was traded to the Texas Rangers in August 2016, but in the early December 2016, he re-joined the Houston Astros in a one-year, $16 million deal. It is clear where his net worth has come from!

Regarding his personal life, Carlos Beltran has been married to Jessica since 1999, and has two daughters with her. Beltran owns two residences, in Port Washington, New York, and in Manatí, Puerto Rico.
