Bill Bellamy Net Worth, Biography, Wiki 2017-2016

William Bellamy was born on 7 April 1965, in Newark, New Jersey USA, of African-American descent. He is mostly known as a comedian and an actor, but audiences might recognize him as a host of the NBC reality television show “Last Comic Standing”, and also as a host of several MTV television programs.

So how rich is Bill Bellamy? Sources estimate his current net worth to be $9 million. Most of it he has accumulated through his work as a television and film actor, and as a comedian.

Bill Bellamy Net Worth $9 Million

Interestingly, when Bill Bellamy studied at Rutgers University, he majored in economics. At about that time he decided that comedy and acting was what he wanted to do in his life. Firstly, he became the face of various MTV programs such as “MTV Beach House” and “MTV Jamz”, which began to build Bill’s net worth. Bill’s career as an actor began in 1985 when he appeared in a TV drama series “Bowen A’i Bartner”. In1989 he appeared in another TV drama series “The Play on One”. At that point, however, he was not particularly successful in what he was doing and it took some time for him to find the correct approach and become noticed. During one of the talk shows, the actor revealed that he had to work with himself and try to figure out how to express his comedy in a way that would also be entertaining to the public.

Bill Bellamy’s fame started reaching new heights when he began working on MTV’s “MTV Beach House” in 1993. After three years, he began hosting his own show entitled “The Bill Bellamy Show”. Bellamy’s first movie appearances were in small roles in the comedy movies “Joey Breaker” and “Who’s the Man?” Perhaps his first more significant role was in 1997, in the romantic drama “Love Jones” in which he played one of the main characters. Between 1998 and 2001 he was cast as a regular in the TV family comedy series “Cousin Skeeter” in which he became the voice of the main character Skeeter. Another of Bill’s important movies, which is known as one of his most successful roles that had a significant influence on his net worth, was his role in a comedy drama “The Brothers”. Looking back on the past few years of his acting career, his appearance in the television comedy “Mr. Box Office” was one of his roles that helped to raise his net worth.

Back on TV, Bill Bellamy was the host of the reality show “Last Comic Standing” on NBC in 2007 and 2008. In 2014, Bill played the role of Councilman Powell in the series “Hot in Cleveland”, and is the current host and executive producer of TV One’s “Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes?”, which is now in its fourth season. Clearly Bill Bellamy’s net worth is still growing, as his talent is still in demand.

In his personal life, Bill Bellamy married an actress Kristen Bellamy in 2001. Together, they have two children – a daughter named Bailey Bellamy (born in 2003) and a son named Baron Bellamy (born in 2006).
