Beverley Mitchell was the only daughter of Sharon (nee Weisz) and David Mitchell, who have since divorced; her father is an auto racing promoter, and her mother is an office manager. Beverley’s talent for drama was noticed early, as she was discovered by a talent agent who witnessed the four-year-old girl’s temper-tantrum at the shopping mall, when she was in the company of her mother.

This brought her some modeling gigs in the following years, followed by her television debut as a guest-star in the sitcom “Big Brother Jake” (1990). The roles on the small screen lined up for her, and in the next few years she appeared in several TV movies, including the made-for-television drama film “Children of the Bride” (1990), and its sequels “Baby of the Bride” (1991) and “Mother of the Bride” (1993). She also had a small, but important role as young Nancy Sinatra (aged 7-9) in the biography miniseries dedicated to life of Frank Sinatra.

In 1996, Beverley secured her breakthrough role on the big screen, playing Grace in “The Crow: City of Angels” (1996), the sequel to the 1994 cult classic “The Crow” with the late Brandon Lee, starring alongside Vincent Perez, Mia Krishner, and Richard Brooks. This was followed by her most memorable role to date, that of Lucy Camden (later Kinkirk), in the beloved family drama series “7th Heaven” (1996-2007), playing the third child of seven Camden siblings, children of a small-town Protestant minister and his wife. She stayed on the show for eleven seasons, which brought her great popularity and increased her net worth significantly. She also won three Young Artist Awards for this role, and was nominated for Teen Choice Award and YoungStar Award. During the course of the series, she also took the time to finish school, studying film at Loyola Maramount University.

After the show ended in 2007, Beverley continued to act, appearing in several independent films, such as “Snowman” (2011) and “The Dog Who Saved Easter” (2014). In 2011, she also went to star in two seasons of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” (2011-2013), but meantime trying her luck in the music industry, releasing a self-titled country album in 2007, which spawned the singles “Angel” (2006), “Heaven on Earth Down Her” (2007), and “Walking” (2007), while charting at number 8 on Billboard Top Heatseekers. However, her primary interest remains in acting, and she recently starred in the thriller “Taken Too Far” (2016) and has one upcoming film – “Dance Baby Dance” – which still has to bereleased.

Regarding her personal life, Beverley has been married to Michael Cameron since 2008, and with him she has a son and a daughter. She is a former cheerleader, and good friends with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt, since they attended the same acting classes as children. She is also known for her charity work, in organizations such as RADD Kids and K-Mart Kids Race Against Drugs.
