Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Bongo Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam, to the audience known by a stage name of Akon, was born on 16 April 1973, in St. Louis, Missouri USA, and is a record producer, musician, R&B singer, actor, as well as television producer, widely recognized for his many songs and collaborations with such artists as Eminem, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani and Whitney Houston. Akon’s breakthrough came in 2004 with the release of his single “Locked Up”, which peaked at #8 on the Billboard charts and attracted the attention of the public. In addition to his solo projects, Akon was more open to collaborating with other artists.
